What size  wood or pellet stove do I need?

To determine the size wood or pellet stove your home requires you need to
first determine the square footage of the area you wish to heat.
(Multiply the width and length of the area)

Wood stoves:

A SMALL wood stove generally heats  500 to 1000 sq feet.

A MEDIUM wood stove generally heats  800 to 2000 square feet.

A LARGE wood stove generally heats 800 to 3000 plus square feet.

Pellet stoves:

A 30,000 BTU unit heats 600 to 1200 square feet.

A 35,000 BTU unit  heats 800 to 1500 square feet.

A 40,000 BTU unit  heats 800 to 2000 square feet.

A 45,000 BTU unit  heats 800 to 2200 square feet.

A 50,000 BTU unit heats 800 to 2500 square feet.

A 60,000 BTU unit  heats 1000 to 3000 square feet.

To heat an area that is very open with few walls, such as a basement or open building, heat will be able to circulate easier and more square feet will be heated.

Do wood stoves and pellet stoves have warranties?

All stoves sold by Woodstove Warehouse, our Hearth products and Stoves are covered by a full manufactures warranty.

What stove Venting Materials are required?

Woodstoves and Pellet stoves require different chimney and venting systems. Pellet stoves may be vented straight through a wall, similar to a dryer, or they may be vented through a conventional chimney.

Wood stoves ALWAYS require a chimney. We sell and install chimneys, stainless steel chimney liners, class A chimney pipe,  or you may use an existing chimney.

Is a hearth pad required for my wood or pellet stove?

Yes. All stoves must sit on a noncombustible surface, either a hearth pad, tile, concrete, marble or something of the like. We sell hearth pads in many colors, sizes and styles.
